SomCareer is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone, location, work history, education, and CV files for job seekers; company name, description, logo, and contact details for employers. We also collect usage data such as pages visited and job applications submitted.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the platform - creating your profile, matching you with relevant listings, sending application status notifications, and enabling employers to find qualified candidates. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
Your profile and CV may be visible to verified employers on the platform. Application data is shared only with the employer you applied to. We use third-party services for file storage (Cloudflare R2) and transactional email (Resend) - both operate under their own privacy policies.
4. File Uploads
CVs and company logos are stored securely on Cloudflare R2. CV files are accessible only to you and employers you have applied to. You may delete your CV at any time from your dashboard.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting us at privacy@somcareer.com - your data will be removed within 30 days.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Access to user data is strictly scoped - you can only access your own data through the platform.
